Just to let you know that Oggy (formerly known as Fred) is doing so well in his new home. The kids absolutely love their new friend and he loves all the attention as well!
Here is a photo' of Finlay who I went to Lincoln for as he was being fostered there with Debbie. I consider Myself very fortunate to have him and I must thank Ros for him.
I've had him nearly two years after one of my two Yorkies died. He is a good chum for my other Yorkie Tom.He had a few little problems at first ,i.e. fits but now
he is nicely settled he hasn't had one for nearly a year.
Bye for now, Joan

Finally managed to upload some pictures of Betsy (formerly known as Lottie the Rottie). She is a pleasure to be with, and has settled nicely with my other (older) dog, Bruno. Betsy is good on the lead except when she catches the odour or sight of a rabbit - around where i live and work it is basically "rabbit central" so the evenings are amusing when the furry bunnies come out for the night. Most weekends the three of us go to my place of work, and no-one thus far has been able to resist her - a real Angel in Rottweiler clothing.
Thank you for the stirling job you folks are doing - you all deserve medals!
regards Chris Peel (Watchfield, Oxfordshire)
My boyfriend and I adopted Guinness on the 23rd of July 2009.
He has settled into our home very well. As you can see from the picture he loves to be played with and wants to be the centre of everyones attention!
thank you so much for our newest family member

Alfie
Adopted over a year ago, he did not have a good life previously but he’s settled, we are not out of the woods yet but he is a happy dog and has fitted well with the rest of the gang. Loves getting his paws dirty and will chase anything with fur that comes in sight, superb digger there’s nowhere they can hide.
Just to let you know that WILF (who was the un-named Jack Russell cross we picked up three weeks ago,) has settled in REALLY well. He has had his operation, jabs etc. and apart from some crying for the first few nights, which we expected, has turned out to be the perfect dog! He's house-trained, loves being bathed / groomed (and cuddled!) and even likes going in the car. He comes when called and so we are now learning 'sit' and 'down'. Amazingly he doesn't bark at other dogs and only gets upset by two (or more) big dogs if they are off their leads - but that frightens me, so he's probably picking up my reaction. We love going for long walks and (added bonus!) my waistbands are already getting looser!!! We are SO pleased with him and he brightens everyone's day, as when we are out walking, people can't help smiling when they see him.
I've now had Mont 3 months and 2 days and he has been such a joy. He's still as mad as he was when he was in the Centre but getting him out and about helps channel all that energy! I've discovered he loves water and I can't keep him out of any river he happens to come across. He's absolutely amazing with other dogs - he thinks everyone wants to play and it is rather funny seeing him try to convince old or grumpy dogs that really they do want to play :-) He acts the joker trying to encourage them to join. His enthusiasm in play is so much so that his walker who takes him out during the day for me thinks he must be made of rubber the way he throws himself around!!!! The lead chewing is improving (I think I've only had to throw out 2 so far!) but his stick obsession still remains and makes for much entertainment on walks. He's a smart wee cookie, but the energy is proving at challenge at Obedience but we'll get there eventually! One of the funniest things about having him is all the breed guessing from anyone who meets us out and about; I think it's probably getting harder now he's grown some more and put on extra muscle (I think he's finally grown into his legs). I guess we'll never know but I think he's adorable and definitely the coolest dog ever! I'm so so glad I decided to go with my heart and take him; love him to bits.
Hi Roz,
We have had Alfie (Oscar) the white rough-coated Lurcher with us for almost 3 weeks now, we picked him up 17/09/09. As you can see he has put a few pounds on now. He has fitted into our little 'pack' extremely well, as you would expect he needed to be socialised and showed how to behave. He has some good role models to learn from with our older Lab and Rottie. The Jack Russell has become a puppy again and is tearing around our field with him chasing the ball as you can see in the picture. He has accepted the chickens, horses and goat and more or less ignores them now. Infact there has not been any issue with him that we have not been able to sort out really quickly. Everyone loves him, my young niece and nephew look forward to visits so they can play ball with him, he's good at cuddling too. In the pictures the Rottie is Bonnie (7) Jack Russell cross is Magic (7) Lab is Sandy (11) and of course Alfie the Lurcher who we think is about 2 years old.
