Hi Ros,
a couple of weeks ago we regretfully had to give you our 2 labrador pups (Parsely and Boo).
We just wanted to know if they had been re-homed/were happy as we cannot find them on your website?
Kind regards,
Emma & Andy
Just to let you know pipkin now troy is doing very well. he has settled in here as though he has always been here. he has gone from a bewildered boy in kennels to a normal naughty young collie , which is great to see. He loves the babies and is very gentle with them. he loves all the dogs here. Keep up the great work you do guys. if it wasnt for rescues like yourselves these dogs would not be alive today.
Hi there guys,
Just wanted to let you all know that our new addition (Marley - formerly known as Patch the border/springer X) is doing great!!!
He's settled in with us perfectly and is eating and sleeping well. We love having a dog around the house again, it's finally made our family complete.
Thank you for letting us adopt him and rest assured he's with a loving family now who will care for him and give him all he needs for years to come.
Hi Ros and Sarah, Just to let you know that my little westie puppy 'mac' has settled in very well. He is so gorgeous everyone loves him! I am so glad we found you and him of course. Will keep in touch and will send some pictures. Can you send me an email address. Thanks Carolyn palmer.
Hi Ros and all your helpers - just to let you know that Honey the White German Shepherd we adopted from you in May is doing really well. She is a happy, spoilt family dog and is loving charging around the garden. Thanks again.
Hi
Just wanted Ros and Tracey to know that Harper the border collie has settled down. We have had him five weeks now, whilst he is still very wary of men he is happy loving boy. He loves everyone in the family and is great when out for walks as long as it is not too busy for him. He loves to play ball and go for long walks, which never tire him out. He chases and nips at the hoover but we can live with that!
Hi Ros. We adopted Cookie (german shepherd cross) in early July. We arrived on our motorbike and had to go home and return with car and Kai our 5 yr old GSD. Cookie has settled in really well. she has had two caravanning holidays since moving in with us. She is very affectionate and just loves to be with us and family. We are so glad that we found her. Tried to send a photo of Cookie with Kai on the beach at Hunstanton but can't seem to attach a photo. I will keep trying. We will call in soon and bring some food and treats for the dogs. You do a great job. Thank goodness for people like you and your colleagues.

Hi all, sent an email on sunday or monday enquiring about either Aztec or Tweedy.Would like to know if either are any good with cats?
Hi Ros and the gang,
Just thought you might like an update on our latest family member - (labxrottie) adopted on 17th August.
We have named him Hurley - husbands choice! He is settling in really well to our home and has made himself comfortable on the seatee!
He has started responding to his name and is wagging his tail when I call him. We took him to the vet yesterday to be microchipped and she weighed him - he's 32kg but needs to be 40k to acheive a good size.
As he has had quite bad diarrhea we've gone back to basics and ar feeding him on boiled chicken and rice (with an oxo cube chucked in for flavour) - the vert reccomended this and we will gradually start adding dog food into his diet.
We are off to Great Yarmouth today for a nice walk along the beach - the children adore him and so do we. All in all he seems a very happy boy with us!!

Hello. I am new to the site (although I have been looking at it for weeks) and have never posted a message before. My husband and I are hoping to enquire about Sweep, if he is still available. We are looking forward to coming out to the shelter. Thanks for all you kindness and dedication to these animals.
Just to say thank you for the doberman collie cross whom we collected yesterday the 10th August.. We renamed herJ azz and she has settled in well with the two cats. I think she's going to be a very faithfull friend.
Marion and Jim Aveling
We adopted Jake yesterday (31st july 2010) and so far he has ben a really good and happy dog. He travelled home in the car without any fuss and enjoyed exploring the garden and his new home. Today he has been on a long walk across Rushmere Heath and met a new dog friend (Maddie) and he had a great time playing with her. He seems to get on very well with chidren, adults and other dogs and he seems to be settling in to his new home very quickly. We are really pleased to have him as a new member of our family. Many thanks.
Hi Roz
Here is an update on Harvey the Jack Russel adopted 27 June. He is now renamed Henry and is absolutely gorgeous. I can`t begin to tell you what a joy he is. He settled in straight away and is now a well established member of the family. He loves his walks, is very friendly with other dogs and people and wags his tail at everyone. He has a few health issues which are being sorted and is now well known at the Vets which he treats as a great adventure, it is only a short distance from us which is good as he is not too keen on car travel at the moment. He is house trained and loves lots of fuss, no shortage of that, he is a real "mums boy"!! He has not been neutered yet I have been advised by the Vet to wait until his health issues are sorted. He is a very happy little dog and is well loved by us all. Will send pics at a later date. Kind regards Pamela Morton
Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that Wilma, or Bella as she's now known, has settled in really well. We wanted a dog for our son and it looks like the bond between them has already begun so she was definitely the right choice. Both Kieran (son) and Bella are booked to attend dog training classes shortly so the bond can only get stronger !!!
Thank you for allowing us to adopt her and we'll keep you updated on her progress.
The Cripps Family
Thank you for letting us adopt Amy today 11.7.10. She was very good travelling back to Norfolk and loves the car!. We think she is happy and loved running around the garden. We walked her down to the beach and after a little hesitation she even went for a paddle in the sea. At the moment she is fast asleep on the rug in the living room. We have taken some photos and will send them asap.
Once again thank you and we will do our best to give her a happy life.
Terry and Lynn
Hi, Ros,
Just thought I would give you a quick update on Chance, who we took home with us on Friday 25/6/10. He is a lovely boy, and seems to have settled really well - he is housetrained, and loves a ride in the car - looking out the window at everything going by. He loves his walks (and his food!!!) and is making friends with some of the dogs in the neighbourhood. His condition is improving already, and I will send some photos as soon as he lets me take some of him (as soon as I get the camera out he stands right in front of it!!! - slightly too close!!!)
Hi sorry it has took so long to get in touch i have emailed a few times though, im not very good with computers :os

Hi, Just to let you know that Benson (Now Sonny) coped very well with the journey home, slept sprawled across my lap, with the occasional stir to give some puppy kisses. He is lovely, and seems right at home already! (although the cats aren't too sure, and haven't come back in yet :oS Early days!)
He's out now for a long walk. :o)
Will keep you updated, and post some pics soon x
We took Mary home on Saturday, we have renamed her Jazzy and she is super. She has settled in really well, gets on with our Border Terrier and has made herself right at home.
I was expecting some 'accidents' as I didn't think she was house trained. What a star she has been unbelievable, not made a single puddle, I think she must have lived in a house before. She has bonded with me really quickly and I love her to bits.
Best Wishes
Bev

hi my little dog is not skinny anymore she is a very loverbull dog to b around
Just to let you know that Honey (the black lab / border collie / german shepherd cross who had puppies in your foster care) is getting on great and settling in really well. She has had her spaying operation and enjoys going out for walks and runs. She is getting used to the cats, but the cats are a bit nervous of her, however, we make progress everyday. She gets quite anxious if I leave the room, and she likes to follow me about. She is a really lovely dog, is learning quickly, and we absolutely love her.
Hi Ros
We adopted Trouble now called Tally nearly four weeks ago. She really is a lovely girl. She's settling in well; although she and the cat aren't too sure of each other yet. She's gentle, quiet, affectionate and very loyal (she's my little shadow). She can be obedient but she does try her luck! We'll send some pics soon.
Hi Ros,
Aidan now called Jack is living with us in St Neots! We came to get him on January 2nd, a very snowy day...
He has settled into our family very well, he is loved a lot by us all, has put on over 2 kgs, the vet says this is enough...not too many doggy treats...is really fast and fit, gets loads of walks in a huge park every day, and is really happy, he is the nicest dog you could ever wish to have!!
He tries to dominate us all with his ball, and keeps us very busy.
I hope things are well with you all,
Phil and Tania Morris
Hi
Alfie (was AJ) has settle in really well. Everyone who has met him has said what a lovely dog he is. He loves his new toys and bed and he has already made two new friends on his first walk. See face book for current photo.
Thanks for all your hard work
Lorrie & Kate
see you soon
Hi
Just to let you know that Buster (the black cocker spaniel) has now been with us 2.5 weeks and is settling in well. We have walked him off the lead this week and he was brilliant at recall. He sleeps all night without a sound, is fantastic with the kids and other dogs. We are still introducing him to our two cats but I am assured this takes time!
Many thanks for letting us have him.
hi just to let u no that rooney has enjoyed his first xmas with us and got well and truly spoilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we consider a play mate for him we will def be back thankyou xxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Ros,
Do you remember Heinz the mad Pointer, who barked like a complete loon and bounced about 6ft high? My son and I rehomed him from you a few months ago now and he's the loveliest, soppiest, funniest dog. He's just great - obedient, attentive, playful with Tilly the JRT and tolerant of a tail swiping cat!! He's still bouncy, but only until he's got his lead on and he's off for a walk and the further the better!! Thankyou for letting us take Heinz home - we'd be lost without him.
Best wishes for a Happy Christmas,
Helen and Tom Hall.
Just thought i'd let you all know that i've landed on my feet here. I was known as Dakota to you but am now called Flossie. I have a lovely fleecie bed which i love for proper sleeps and a fleece here and there for naps. My new mum and i get on really well and enjoy our walks but i can't wait to get home in the warm and dry - i'm a dry weather dog! Hope you have a good christmas and a better new year for all my doggie pals.
Hi Ros.......
Just to let you know that Angel (now called Missie), the Rottweiler we got from you after seeing her at the Autumn Show has settled in really really well. She really is the most adorable dog and you would definately think we had got her when she was a puppy. She loves every one and would lick them to death rather than hurt anyone or anything. We are very lucky to have her and a big thank you to you for making this possible.
Regards Joss & Tord

Hi Ros,
Just a short message to let you know that Dudley (Patterdale Terrier) has settled in so well with us we just could'nt believe it, it's like he's been here with us for a lot longer than he has.
Extreme amounts of thanks for giving us the perfect dog, if we know of anybody else looking for a dog then we will definitely point them in your direction.
Thank you again,
Stuart and Tracey.
Hi Ros
To let you know that Kipling (staffie) now known as Ludo has settled in brilliantly. He has put on a lot of weight, although still needs to put a bit more on, he is getting very strong now so we are having to do some more training with him on the lead. When we got him home the first day within half an hour he was asleep on his bed as if he had been here since a puppy. We have just started letting him off his lead which he enjoys a lot and he has to say hello to every dog and person no matter how far away they are. He loves his cuddles on the sofa. We are very thankful to you for giving us such a beautiful dog and Im sure that if we ever decide to get him a friend we will be back.
If you want any photos emailed of him let us know.
Thanks again
Alice and Mark
hi ros bruno has settled in very well and gets on great with all my lot. he loves everyone he meets. he has taken a dislike to squirrels and boy can he run when he sees one lol. he has met a couple of donkeys and decided they needed their faces washing which i think they quite liked lol. although he was only supposed to to be a foster i think you knew he wouldnt be going anywhere lol. thankyou ros for allowing us to adopt the big lad.
Hi Ros,
just to let you know our little dog has settled in fine you would think we have had him from a pup. Some little problem with his tummy but a visit to the vets and a check over looks to be ok.
We are told by the vet he is 18months old, very good on the lead, tried him off in a very large field but he is a runner took 30mins to retreve him with the help of 2 other dogs, Will work on this. Loves all the grand kids and everything other than cats. Banned from squeky toys just rips them to pieces.
My sister shows dogs and insists we show him he holds his self very proud, Look forward to next years show at Wansford. If youy remember that is where we met Sam. this year. Keep up the good work
All the best and thank you Cliff and Maggie
Hi Ros,
Just to say that Karma (GSD cross) is settling into life in Guernsey with Falli our lurcher and Smut the cat. She really enjoys her walks, meeting people and having a run on the beach. Was a bit jealous of Falli at first, but now realises that is not necessary. We will send some pitctures shortly. She is a lovely girl and was brilliant in the hotel in Weymouth, they were holding an international firework festival which didn't bother her at all, neither did the boat trip back to Guernsey. Thank you from Kevin and Georgina.
Hi Ros just a quick note to say that Fernando/max has settled in very well and he has been out for a couple of walks already and it is like he has been here for the whole of his life. He gets on well with all the kids and likes the odd game of football thanks for picking the dog out for me an hope you can pop over soon and see him settled in his new home.
Thanks
Tracy and the familt and max of course
Hi ros, just thought we'd inform you on how well jasper (the white german shepard) is doing. He's so well behaved and even gets along with the cat, so thats good. He's settled in really well and everyone loves him, everyone who meets him says how well behaved he is and how beautiful he is. He's still a little thin but hopefully he'll soon put on some weight. Thank you and see you at the show on the 29th.

Just a quick update on Mo the boxer x we adopted from you on the 20th June at the Grantham Carnival. She was very quiet when we first got her and after a check up at the vets and after sorting a few problems she had, to the tune of £300, she is now microchipped, vaccinated and everything else lol
She has settled in lovely we feel like we have always had her, she gets on with our 2 rats, 5 guinea pigs rabbit and other dog yorkshire terrier pepper. She is a lovely dog, very protective and loving. She has come out of herself a bit now and is playful and loves her walks by the river. Thank you from mo for looking after her till we got her.
Hi Ros,
Just to let you know that Casper, the black and tan spaniel, who we rehomed on Wednesday has settled in brilliantly! He's sporting a snazzy new haircut now and looking very handsome indeed. We're totally besotted with him and it feels like he's always been here. He has been having a great time running around in the fields with Ruby (our little cavvie) and loves hopping into the canal for a paddle to cool down.
Thanks so much for rescuing this lovely chap - we feel very lucky to have him! Sam & Rob x
Hi Ros,
We took the lovely little brown jack russell X called Sophia about two months ago, she is gorgeous and well settled in, she is happy and full of life and we love her to bits. We renamed her Peanut for a few reasons, one she is the colour of a roasted peanut, two she is lovely and small like a little pea and finally simple because she is so "Nutty"
many thanks
the Clarke family

Hi all
Just thought I would give you an update on the yong black German Shepherd that we took home late in January. We have called her Ruby, she is an absolute gem and has settled in very well. She has lots of friends including her boyfriend a black lab. Her recall as come on amazingly and she is so affectionate, always wanting cuddles. She hasn't destroyed the house which is great considering how young she is. She is putting on weight now after a 1st week of not eating dog food as human food smelt so much nicer!! So glad we found you and were able to rehome her she is perfect for us and keeping us fit with her long walks which she loves.
Will keep you updated on her progress and will try and send you some pictures.
Thanks a lot and keep up the great work that you are doing

Hi Ros
Just a quick update on Duke.
He has made such a difference to us as a family. He enjoyed his first Christmas and even opened his own presents!
We enjoy our walks, especially his playtime when he loves to chase after his frisby and squeeky bone.
He is now putting on a little weight as well slowly but surely. Hopefully we are going to get him into training classes as from next week too. I'm sure he will love going as he so likes to please.
Thank you for rescuing him so that we could give him his home. He is a real superstar in our eyes.
Happy New Year to you all.

Great site Ros. about time you were dragged kicking and screaming into the wonderful world of the internet :0)
I hope lots of new homes are found for the many wonderful dogs you have and would like to reiterate how great the water loving Rottie 'Sampson' is. I transported him and was so tempted to offer him a home myself. He was an absolute delight and will make someone a fantastic pet.
